  1. Marvellous little things and the fumes are delightful.

Its worth it (and you can get fuel bottles cheaper)
Gas canisters are a pain, and once conencgted have to stay there or get
    slung.

Aren't those things rather hard to clean?

Not particularly - don't put them in dishwashers as the detergent kills
them - it was simply empty out dregs and swill out with water, tap out
filter/funnel arrangement and rinse that. Reassemble. Finished.

  8. I ordered something from them after they'd been recommended on here
    last time.

I ordered a airbed pump for use from the bike battery and a pair of
trainers. I got no receipt email apart from the company they use to
    for their credit card receipt.

a few days later i got a refund email to my credit card for the boots.
    still nothing from the shop.

then a pump turned up. for use by plug only.

I phoned the number on the website and as it was weekend got put
through to the shop who were unhelpful and said that the internet
stuff was nothing to do with them and they'd leave a message with the
    peeps upstairs and they'd phone.

by midweek I'd still not heard anything so I phoned again and they
were very friendly and offered to send me the one I ordered. when
asked how they wanted the original one back they responded with 'put
it in the bin, sell it or keep it'.

the right one turned up a few days later. I don't know whether that's
    a recommendation or not!

MSR Whisperlite for speed and being compact or a Trangia with the gas
conversion for speed with all the bits attached. Normal Trangias are
good but they're very slow compared to any gas stove and the meths
doesn't burn very well in cold conditions.
