James Dening on Team Ixion is selling his Aprilia RSV-R race bike.

"ex-BSB Aprilia RSV-R is up for sale.

Owned for 3 years, previously by Dez Chand. Still setting
fastest laps at Bemsee last year, with fat bloke on it.

Proflex & Maxton suspension, Gold Brembo brakes, OZ wheels -
    all RSV-R bits.

2 spare rear wheels, 1 spare front, with discs, spacers etc. Full
set of sprockets, front and rear.

Spare tank, whole fairing, radiators, footpegs, fasteners, lots of
    assorted bits and pieces.

Perfect for Bemsee supertwins (podiums & fastest laps last year)"

I've ridden it, and it's a great bike. Also, it's "easy" to ride, and
wouldn't be inappropriate for novice racers. I know what sort of money
James is looking for, and I think it's a) a good deal and b) around
the sort of budgets you probably have in mind. Drop me a line for
James' contact details, if you can't find them on google.

'course, if you do buy it, and aren't fast, you can't
    blame the bike...

Heh. I was thinking about maybe deciding which racing we wanted to get into
first and then buying the bike. Crazy me.

You're going club racing. Every club runs a class for big
four-strokes. Some even run a separate class for twins. Stop
    wibbling.

But just because they do run a class for big twins doesn't mean I want to
race big twins just cos your mate's flogging his bike.

Yes, I know. However "DEATH has read "Twist of the Wrist" doesn't on first,
second and third viewing make any sense.

Yes, I know. "And this is different to ukrm how?" Etc.

<google> Jesus Christos but there's some loonies out there. Check
    out this page: http://www.skeptictank.org/hs/htruebt.htm.

What I particularly like is, half way down a page of the most
outlandish nonsense, is this line : "On the surface, the above story
    may seem plausible."
