I got given a RH pannier in the belief that it was a GS pannier ,
but its actually for a K1100 (I think).
It's free if you want it.

I could use that for the K1100LT I bought from my neighbour; I haven't
got around to fitting the new latches to the panniers yet.

I don't know your location, but I could sort out an interparcel
collection & mail you the labels, (although that would leave you
waiting in for a courier). I'd want to send you a token equivalent to
    (say) a bottle of Laithwaite's.

Bear it in mind if you don't get a reply from a more regular (or
    local) contributor.

    Regards,

If you need a hand or advice with the latches, let me know. Last year,
I spent a happy afternoon fitting new locks to the panniers on my
K1100LT, and trying to figure out how it was done. Light dawned in the
    end.

I can sort it out via parcel2go , shouldnt be more than a few quid.
Drop me an e mail and we'll take it from there.
Address in the headers is valid.

Had they changed? They used to be pop riveted on.

If you need a hand or advice with the latches, let me know. Last year,
Thank you. I have new latches from Motobins & need to swap in the old
locks. As ever, I was thinking "How hard can it be?" I'll have a go at
the week-end (assuming I don't have to go and collect a new trials
bike for son) & 'fess up if I fail.

It helps immensely if you put the key in the new locks, and turn the
key this way and that, to observe how all the tumblers line up.
Basically, there'll be one that doesn't. IIRC that'll be the one
nearest the keyhole, as it were. And you need something slim and
pointy to push that down. They're all spring-loaded, incidentally.

Once you've got that sussed, removing the old ones is a matter of
putting the key in the old locks, turning it to align the tumblers,
and then using your pointy-thing to push down the tumbler that's still
protruding, and then pulling the entire lock out of the barrel. It's
harder to explain than it is to visualise when you've got all the bits
    in front of you.

I must have spent an hour or more fiddling with the locks and
squinting at the tumblers from a distance of two inches before this
light suddenly dawned. I knew it should be very simple, because
Motorworks offer to fit the locks for you for just a few quid if you
buy panniers from them, so if you knew the technique, it had to be a
swift process. And so it proved. Once sussed, a doddle.

There's a good article (I discovered later) on one of the BMW sites,
    as well, with photographs.
