Adie's experiences with their Triumph counterparts (1) led me to buy
my new bike from Colin Collins at Letchworth rather than onyerbike who
would do me exactly the same deal. The sales droids also lied and
denied offering a certain deal on their web site which I conveniently
    had a photocopy of.

I've also got very vivid memories of picking up a GSXR750 from
onyerbike in Aylesbury and running out of fuel within 5 miles. My
fault for not checking it wasn't already on reserve but a dealer that
sends a bike out with that small an amount of fuel in it doesn't score
highly on the customer friendly stakes as far as I'm concerned.

I'd buy from them again if they were offering something I wanted at a
price nobody else would match but otherwise I'd steer clear.

    (1) That'd be the workshop then. She can fill in the details if she
    feels so inclined.

I've not had a Brembo caliper seize either. I think they're coated with
some form of non-stick teflon type stuff.

sweller emerged from their own little world to say
The Brembo rear caliper is the only non-consumable part that has needed
changing on my BMW in 5 years.

Oh, no, I wasn't intending to. But I think a lot of its faults are
generally applicable to Yamahas, which is what we were discussing
originally. Funny, really, but I actually think my old XS650 and quite
possibly the old RDs were better built than a lot of more recent Yams,
with the exception of R1 and a few others.
