They are not the only two Morris dancers in the group.

All of the * Britannia series have been good. But it's BBC Four, which
is probably the greatest tv channel mankind has ever known, so no real
surprise. Shame the Time Shift strand seems to have tailed off, as that
    was corking.

I did this very evening, I also spanked my plank in order to generate
some vaguely musical tones for others to get their sticks out to as
    well.

However as I dance border morris we have women in our side, this means
that my bearded stick is regularly beaten by women.

  7. Sexual morrisment is what it is.

I have just been dancing tonight. One of our lot has just retired from
Plod, and his leaving do was in a local pub.

Lots of Plod and Morris men, trying to outdo each other on the beer
    drinking stakes.

I was just musing the other night that it's probably a couple of years
since I last danced. Some of my side suddenly started taking themselves
very seriously, and all the fun went out of it.

  12. Oddly, I think we've gone the other way. There are some very keen
"maintain the tradition" and "this must be danced to technical
perfection" people, but in the last few years there's been an influx of
"We just enjoy it, and we're never going to be that good" types. Like
    me.

I really, really do enjoy watching a Fieldtown or Sherborne dance danced
perfectly, but I get as much out of having a good time.

Sorry, but it seemed rude to leave it hanging.
