in the snowboarding thread Swiftcover was recommended as a supplier of
    "proper policies underwritten by AXA".

I've just been reviewing my travel insurance options and suggest the above
    quote is bollocks.

    http://www.swiftcover.com/travelinsurance/policy/general-exclusions/ states
"We will not cover the following: 11 Any claim arising from using a two-
    wheeled motor vehicle."

So, is this a general AXA thing, or specific to Swiftcover policies?

Only I noted in the snowboarding thread that
http://www.direct-travel.co.uk/ has switched from AXA to AIG as
underwriter, and still keeps full cover for motorcyclists. Godd on them.

no idea; I don't work for AXA Insurance.

As Doki said, it's probably the pissed up Aya Napa crowd they don't
    want to cover.

  3. It's amusing watching them being loaded onto the flights home. Bandages,
casts, plasters, and loads of that paint-on pink stuff.

    I don't know.

I *do* know that Axa refused to pay out on a travel claim my father
made, since he hadn't declared a (*completely* unrelated) illness from
over ten years before which they found after a trawl through his medical
    records.

It got to the ombudsman before they eventually paid out.

So I, for one, do not rate Axa's travel insurance very highly.
