    Headlights, right.

    Specifically dip beam.

Should it have one or two? And if two (which means I've got a blown
bulb) is there an easy way to get at the headlight unit to replace it,
or is it (as suggested elsewhere) a fairing-off headlight-out affair?

Having engaged my brain a bit and had a look at the wiring diagrams
in the back of the handbook (and a quick ferret through the BOL at
Halfords - the cellophane wrapper just kind of fell off, mister) it
would appear that the EU model has dip on the left and main on the
right, and the UK model has dip and main on both.

Mine has dip on the left and main on both, suggesting a dead filament
(or some really cranky wiring!) so I'd best work out how to get the
rubber cap off the RHS bulb - had no luck today, try again tomorrow.
Can they easily be set up to point at different angles? I'm assuming
you won't be wanting corners to vanish into the darkness under hard
    braking...

To be honest, it wasn't very likely anyway.

    It's happened!

Black Mike tells an amusing story from his Phase One days - a blow up
at night put a load of oil down, and half a dozen bikes crash on it
before the marshals get the flags out. The kitty litter is full of
bikes and riders staggering about in the dark, picking bikes up and
peering at them in the gloom, saying "nope, that's not mine", then
dropping it and continuing the search.

"Marshal, that man stole my motorbike."

Wonder what the pit lane penalties would be for that.
Other than a good kicking from another team.
