    Where I'm at:

I've got some club details coming through, I'm booked for the ACU test on
Monday, have had my eyetest (and been declared lacking in "normal colour
vision"- which I'm hoping won't be a problem). The rest of the process is
hidden behind a veil at the moment. I assumed the regs would come after the
    ACU license bit.

The colour thing shouldn't be a problem as you only
have to distinguish between red, green, blue, black
and yellow ... funnily enough the flag colours!

Champ will fill you in more on the ACU test but I'm
told this is no more than the talk you get at a
trackday but longer, with a test at the end.

Was that from one of those spot-the-shape-in-the-dots tests?

Hmm. I met a bloke last week who was denied a licence cos he was
    colour blind
No he won't - Champ's never ever seen the ACU test. They only
introduced it last year - I got my licence in 1987
