    if I wasn't buying a car, I'd be tempted just to have a whole spare
    bike with wets on, just to save the hassle...

    I'm just thinking about the hassle of changing wheels and the actual
    life of the Wets. They don't last long.

    You could try some Avon ProXtreme road legal wets? These were designed
    as a Club Racing Wet where rules require road legal tyres.

    Er, they do last well if it's properly wet. It's when it starts to dry
    out that they wear out quickly.

    I agree but I was only thinking of it being a track day and the hassle
    of changing wheels. It's not as if you're racing ;-). Saying that,
    I've taken wets to a track day many times but I already had them.
