BMW are offering BT020 as an option on the new R1200GS.

Bridgestone now have these tyres listed on their website as a fitment
for the R11500GS, Caponord, Varadero & Vstrom,
    sizes 110/80 ZR 19 (59W) TL and 150/70 ZR 17 (69W) TL

Oddly, despite the tyres being the correct size and ZR
rated they are not listed as a fitment for the Tiger.

So, can someone try a set and let me know if they work
    better than Metzeler Tourances?

Heard this on the International Varadero forum a couple of weeks ago. I
will need a new set in about 3K so will be sticking them on then.
    Hopefully about early May.

Doesn't the Tiger need tubed tyres? IIRC one of the Big Traillees with
spoked wheels can't take tubeless tyres. I thought this was the Tiger.
(BMW do something strange with their spoked wheels so that they can use
    Tubeless)

That's correct, the Tiger does use tubes. The BMW spokes are mounted on
the rim, outboard of the tyres bead.

And the 1150, but oddly not the 1100. I wonder why.

Sounds promising. Although I think they'll have to sell you a new set of
footpegs with each tyre. I might give them a go in about 5000 miles time
when I estimate the Tourances will be due for replacement.
