  1. Your prawn.me.uk domain appears to be down.

I would've emailed but that isn't working either...

There appears to be some DNS fubaredness around. Fasthosts / ukreg have
dropped off the net totally. As do streamline's DNS servers, although
streamline's site is at least still running.

/me suspects that a cable's been cut somewhere.

  3. In uk.rec.motorcycles, catman belched forth and ejected the following:
Thanks for that. I did wonder if it was just me.

BT are the source of the problem, they've caused fasthosts to completely
    drop off

something to tell the clients tomorrow morning when they can't get their
    mail.....

To say nothing of my mail which is fucked.

I thought i'd just add my 2 cents. its not a BT issue. its a Telewest
issue. its also a JANET issue. it seems a major internet backbone has
been cut, taking out fasthosts, telewest broadband/digital tv customers
in bristol and several colleges in the area.

Details in the alt.www.webmaster usenet group

Having just asked, here's the cut and pasted reply:

"from what i can see there is no actuall routing to Fasthosts
whether that means BT have lost two DNS servers, or a cable is cut i
dont know, but I'd hazard a guess at the first

early Monday morning before the issue is resolved
01452541499 and option 2 to hear the full msg"

HTH, it's as much as I can get

Someone elsewhere said that Sealand has been gutted by a fire

I've not seen it confirmed yet, though

Ta for that. I *should* make some comment about top posting and
snipping but I'll just be accused of being in the clique, so I won't ;)
