It's only the 1200, so much lighter.

    It's very *you*.

Heh. I strongly suspect "typo", so I've "asked seller a question".

My KH500 was first registered in 2002, manufactured in 1975.

What plate do you think it has?

    "ABC123N" or "02 AB 123"?

No, the reg plate will always reflect year of manufacture for an import.
If that can't be determined, you used to get a "Q" plate. I'm not sure
    what happens now.

Bad form, but when you've fucked up the attributions that badly, what
    have you got to lose?

    Platy typed the URL, obviously.

    So do I.

That GL1500 looks very tidy, though.

    OEM silencers, too.

70,000 miles - just run in.

Bit light on the chrome, mind.

Single colour version, too, so no expensive fragile stickers to
    scratch.

Not necessarily, until the late eighties (IIRC) it was based on year of
    registration.

My Dad's Triumph (car) imported after his posting in Cyprus was
registered as two years younger than it was; I've had an 'M' reg Morris
Traveller and an 'X' reg SIIa Land Rover.

    sweller says...
My dad brought an Aussie built Morris Traveller back from Singapore via
Germany. It was registered over here on a 1969 G plate but was first
registered abroad in 66. I saw another ex-army Morris Traveller on a
    1978 S plate once.

I suspect the one I had, briefly, was ex-RAF as it was the same dark blue
as those I'd seen at Scampton. That blue was a standard colour so
/wibble/ but it makes sense for the delayed registration.
