No joy in finding a hill climb outfit yet, but the owner of the NHCA
championship winning plot is enticing me with offers of a CIHAGM chance
at the Haynes track in February some time (though it's not for sale
unfortunately). That's not a million miles away from you I would guess?

I will enquire whether he has a specific date in mind yet.

Hmm. I was looking at that the other day. Problem is, if it's already won
    stuff, we'll have no excuse.

Pah, my old Husqvarna was used by my mate 'knuckles' to win the 750
championship after I switched to the Nordwest. I'm used to having no
    excuse.

The overall package including a trailer is particularly tempting and
time saving. Not sure about the 'TT' spec. for hill climbing. The Welsh
meetings tend not to be on such tight courses as places like Hartland
and Wiscombe. TBF, though, a full on circuit racing Baker F1 outfit
    manages to get up them.

The times it put in at Margam etc. last season are certainly very
respectable, so it must be pretty well sorted, or piloted by a nutter (
which is always an option in hill climb circles).

I've asked for some close up photos with the fairings removed. If it
looks tidy and the weather improves a bit I might even take a spin[1]
across the border in the MX5 to have a close look.

[1] Could be a bit too literal at the moment.

I saw that a couple of days ago and had to decide that I've got too
many bikes already. Shame really because he's knocking it out with an
aluminium trailer and it could have been good fun.

It's much easier for the monkey to bale out from a 'kneeler' than the
pilot when things go uncontrollably askew and a tree trunk interface
    looks otherwise inevitable though.

Could you store it? I'll be shot if I add another outfit to the stock
currently residing in our garden but if a sensible agreement could be
reached regarding use and wear/tear then I'd be very interested in
    being part of this.

Go for it. I'm usually very busy through the summer but wouldn't mind
a spot of racing when I'm off and it's not as if it's proper racing is
    it?

Note that it is 'TT' spec. with big tank and long platform, so suitably
qualified nutters could theoretically do just that with it.

Does a solo mountain circuit licence qualify you to ride an outfit
    round?

The 'mountain licence' does not have a 'solo' or 'sidecar'
designation. It's the main ACU licence that says what you can ride -
the mountain licence says you're qualified enough to ride on the
    mountain circuit.

One would have thought that a sidecar licence would be clearly
identifiable by dint of being written in green crayon.

Y'know, I'm not really sure. On a short circuit (i.e. with lots of
run off), I'd probably be happy to do both. Prolly only pilot on a
hill climb or elsewhere with trees and walls nearby.

I have actually had a brief go, on an airfield apron, trying to pilot
a chair, which while not a full on kneeler was sort of close. I say
trying because I couldn't actually get it to do anything I wanted at
    all.

    It's printed by the ACU.

You can sign it in whatever you like.
