    Yes, no probs.
    Yes, you do.

You shouldn't be allowed to drive a computer unsupervised, you know.

    You're a star, thanks,

Will it ever look like this one, mister?

This bloke really likes his - and I'm intrigued to see that "only 500
were ever made" of the sulfur-yellow GL1000 ...

Cor, blimey. I'd better redirect some of the Solvol that was earmarked
for the Enfield. That's a bit bleedin' shiny, innit?

It *is* interesting about the yellow ones being rare. There have been
two on Ebay in the last week, of course, but...

I'll have to do some furtling around to find out how true it is.

Disgustingly so. I can't even begin to imagine how many hours of work
would be required to make my bike even nearly that shiny.
Furtle on, my man - furtle on ;-)

I seem to have bought a GoldWing...
Saw that and *almost* bid on it.
    Nice that is.
Welcome to "The Fold" of Goldwing people.
Of course, once you have ridden it, enjoyed it and such you'll be needing
    one of these next......

Not mine but a very nice example.

I have to say that looks superb.

on the subject of well kept old bikes I saw an amazingly shiny BMW R100
today. S reg, painted orange with a sort of pearlescent finish on the
    petrol tank.

  15. exactly like that but I'm sure it said R100 on the side. Never mind -
    probably more senility setting in.

Expensive[1] way to get an IbW number!

You only had to ask! :)

[1] Not really. That's a lot of bike for £720.

  17. It would have been an R100 if it was S reg. Probably painted up to
resemble a 90/S. The R100S hadthe same smoked finish, but in deep red.

The Older Gentleman was seen penning the following ode to ... whatever:
Not quite - they were available in a variety of smoked finishes, the
red of probably the best looking, but you could also get them in smoke
grey, and I *think* at least the early ones were available in burnt
orange as well. Plus, I think I've seen at least one green one.

Getting them repainted in this kind of finish - especially the burnt
orange one - in a decent quality costs a rather large wedge of dosh so
I'd be surprised if someone paid that to get a 100S repainted. We are
talking more than half of the bike's worth here...

  20. Over here we only ever got the 90/S in orange or grey, and I'm sure we
never got an orange 100S. Never seen a green one! Wonder if it was a
    special job.
Indeed. IIRC, no two 90/Ss were ever identical because of the smoke
    effect.
