An odd request - Are you able you per chance to point me in the right
direction where I can get a list of London Tube stations with postcode and
longitude and latitude co-ordinates as it would save me a lot of tedious
work looking each one up etc etc

I want the info for my new London hotel booking site to show hotels within a
radius of certain points - key tube stations seem as good as anything!

Well from 1 Jan 2005 you are entitled to ask for almost anything under
the Freedom of Information act provisions. I would advise that you
write to or E Mail our Customer Services section but make it very clear
as to why you want the information - i.e. for commercial purposes and be
prepared to supply some supporting justification.

Although Des made a jokey reference to security issues it is possible
that your request may be refused on these grounds. I can't think of a
single document within LUL that shows the precise details you want -
however it is probable that our engineers will have very detailed GIS
type information which could be used to provide it.

Thanks for that Paul - much appreciated - all the info is out there, but
collating would take me hours - I'll go ask the questions & see if they have
anything handy!

 

It's not really accurate enough for what I want to do - but thanks anyway!
