    Oh yes, that's always possible. Or viral encephalitis. Bubonic (or
    indeed pneumonic) plague is on the list too. Or visceral leishmaniasis.
    Fortunately lymphatic filariasis doesn't really fit the symptoms. So
    it's probably not that. Probably.

    Of course, it could always be a combination of several of the above.
