Today I woke up with flu like symptoms and nausea. I've just started
    shivering..

    Have fun in India.

Get thee to a doctor young Ginge.

    Fucking pronto.
    Hugely unlikely.

I did, it was fun convincing them they *did* have a free slot in the
    (full) appointment book.

I'm now on some funky antibiotics which mean I can't go near alcohol -
quite honestly I wouldn't want to anyway.

Did you get a malaria test? The prophylaxis doesn't always work, and
with this one it's definitely better safe than sorry.

No, I asked about it and was told they want to wait until my other tests
come back first, then if that's inconclusive they'll do a blood test.

She asked me to keep taking my temperature for a few days and let her
know if it swings up and down a lot, so far it hasn't (36.something) I
just feel like it's all over the shop.

They're not exactly the best surgery I've ever been to, I may be looking
to change doctors once I recover.

Odd. The test for the malaria parasite is quick and (AIUI), pretty
cheap. It also needs doing whilst you're showing symptoms, or the little
fuckers hide in cysts on your liver.

Still, if it's cerebral malaria, you'll be dead before the other tests
come back, so it'll all be pretty academic.

    Can I have the Kawasaki?

Yeah, I've been reading that. They could have a point though, I've not
actually broken a fever yet. OTOH If I have got malaria I'll refuse to
die 'til I see both of the doctors that have seen me struck off.
As you can see, I'm not making any plans just yet.

Is it getting dark yet Ginge?

If you see Steve Hislop telling you to ride towards the light, really
    start worrying.

    Really.

Yes, I turned the light off and I'm wide awake shivering in my bed. I
knew this wireless LAN thing was a good idea.
    I already saw him, we had a race and I won. I think that's a sign I'm
    getting better, don't you?

Any large-denomination note will do equally well.

Call that large-denomination? I've wiped someone else's arse with bigger
