Any locals up for a run to Avebury in the next couple of weeks, once
this downpour's well and truly over?

Should be a reasonable run to get there, and a quick m-way sprint back.

Odd how the likes of Aprilia are going completely the other way.

Thinking a Wednesday evening, as that seems to be peak night for bikes
at the pub there, but a weekend run could be arranged...

It's not too far from Brighton so an evening, in a week or two, wouldn't
be a problem. I can pop in on my parents in Devizes on the way up. Then
    return via the A272.

Don't push your luck. Seriously. Another week or so will be lovely. Don't
forget you're an old **** now, and don't heal as fast.

We're on about the pub on the sharp corner opposite the stones? I think
that's the only one for miles, but knowing my luck ...

How do 'flat slides' compare with non-cv carbs that don't have flat
slides but round ones? Or are they much the same?

Well, there must be some benefit from having a flat surface presented
to the airflow, instead of the curved one you get from a ordinary
round slide, cos the flat ones are more expensive to make, and spoken
off in awed tones. Dunno the specifics, tho.

Now all we need is someone to suggest a date...

    May 5th?

    May 12th?

Whatever the date is in 7 days, if it's warm.

Failing that, whatever the date is 7 days later, etc.
