  1. Some time ago you mentioned about your RACV membership that your car
cover also covers your bike for the same money....I think..

We joined RACV last year for the van ($114.00 under Extra Care) and a
few months later added two bike assuming they would come under the
    vans cover.

When the CC statement arrived they had deducted a further $228 for the
two bikes (Motorcycle Options), and now the renewal has arrived I am
reluctant to fork out a further $342 for another 12 months Extra Cover
for the van and 2 bikes.

How did you get the bike covered under your car membership cover?? ...
because I'd like to do the same.

Your advice will be much appreciated.

    Kind regards
    Dave Milligan

    Hi Dave,
Dunno about RACV but in WA they have three types of memberships.
RAC Ultimate covers YOU, classic and standard covers the vehicle.

If you have more than two vehicles it is cheaper to get untimate cover for
    two people.

I looked at RACV website but it was confusing.

    Here ya go
    Personal Cover

a.. Cover for you as the nominated member whilst driving an eligible
vehicle, as well as any driver of the nominated vehicle.
$161 per year. For two of you it would be $322. Slightly cheaper than you're
being asked to pay and would cover you on Clem's bike.

That's pretty much it. Put the car or van onnto Total Care. The nominated 4-wheel vehicle is covered
for when anyone drives it. But if the Total Care is under your name then you're covered for any
vehicle (car or bike) that you're travelling driving/riding at the time.

sounds like the way to go.
You want me to ride Clem's bike? Nah, think I'll wait till I can
afford an R1200GS which will be several years away by which time they
will have ironed out all the prodiction faults which have so far
    appeared.

    Thanks for your help

    Kind regards

  7. Hi Dale,

sounds like the way to go.

Wonder if they can do jointly named vehicles and that could mean both
our bikes would be covered while either of us was riding them.

    Thanks for your help

    Kind regards

    afford a 1200 for a while!)

with Total Care in Sarfistrilya (RAA) one can nominate your partner - and
possibly your chillun - as Associate members on your Account - from memory
the cost is about 2/3 for each Associate

Did you leave the 'c' out of 'an' or the 'us'?

  14. Theo,

I guess this could be a Woooosh which has escaped me, ... but it was
the "an" and I was taking the piss at what I thought was Clem's typo.

    Kind regards

I knew that but couldn't make much else out of it, so picked two corrections
that would make sense grammatically. Oh well.
