I got a nice email saying no. I'd been pipped to the post by "Ben" on his ostrich. Even though I had got more votes than him in the end and kept a higher star rating. The Santa outfit went down well. His video in my opinion was full of enthusiasm and no real content. But he was a half my age. Hurumph AGE-ISTS Hurumph. Given that this whole endeavour is a glorified viral marketing campaign, I'm amazed you even bothered. They're looking for a poster child, nothing more.
It wasn't a glorified viral marketing campaign. It was an inspired viral marketing campaign. For a fraction of their last years budget for tourism they have got some fantastic coverage. Absolutely inspired. I went through the odds before on the group and yes they are looking for a "Poster Child" but they were going to fly out ten people to Oz and the chance of getting on that group was far better. In fact it would look good for future campaigns if an old fart got short listed. As for being bothered it took less than two hours total including sending it and NG-ing it. It generated a few laughs. What did you do in the last two hours you wasted? ;-)>
