  1. Scamera warning add-on details here:

29 Euros one-off payment, which seems cheap enough.

I've just installed it, and AFAICS, it works nicely.

Where does this payment come into it? You can download it from
pocketgpsworld.com where it originated for *free*.

You can download the overlays for free, but the software on the Medion
needs an add-in before it can use them. *That's* the bit that's
    chargeable.

    Yes. Very clever.

How are you going to use them with a Medion GPS then?

(Hint: Follow the link I posted).

Just out of interest, which model do you have and what is your opinion
    of it?

I've got the PNA100. It works pretty well. As with all satnav systems,
you have to apply a little common sense from time to time.

The road database is getting a little dated (> 1 year old), but it's not
bad enough that I feel a burning need to check for updates.

I *love* having street level maps for pretty much all of Western Europe
and Scandinavia. For me this is bloody handy.

As a PDA it suffers from not having any Wi-fi connectivity, other than
    that it's fine.

I bought mine after hearing WUN raving on about his (it was a toss-up
between a Garmin Quest or the PNA100, what swung it was the fact that the
PNA can double as a PDA as well) and I'm pretty chuffed with it, too.

Mostly does what it says on the tin.

Unfortunately it doesn't support SDIO cards. I'm told this is a
licensing, rather than a hardware, limitation. If I could be arsed, I'd
    investigate more deeply.

No biggie anyway, because the new toy (O2 XDA) had wi-fi built in.
