Paging Lozzo

Been looking at some 'lightweight' bike gear in the HG catalogue today,
as I don't want to take full leathers over to Portugal next month.

Are the denim 'Tec 2' jeans and jackets any good if combined with
Hiprotec armour?

Pip has an armoured HG denim jacket that he loves. Those people I sold
the denim stuff to loved it, but just bear in mind that the abrasion
resistance is nowhere near that of leather or cordura. HG are doing a
fully armoured (cordura and leather where you need it) highly vented
summer suit at very reasonable money.

 

This I understand, I just want it as an alternative to leather when it's
really hot, as it has been today. I'm also thinking that over the next
few years we plan to fly out to places and hire bikes on a fairly
regular basis, so having something we can fly in is an advantage.

This could also be worth a look - any idea which one it is, so I can
look at it in the cataloge?

 

Look for the Alpinestar? and similar Aero type jackets which let the breeze
through but are armoured and have a bit more protection

 

Whilst I take your point Loz, I'd rather have a cotton denim/Kevlar
thread mix on my back than a nylon Cordura membrane melting into my
skin as I slide down the road.
Back protectors notwithstanding, natch.

 

You seem to have me confused with someone who's got more than a few quid
to spend ;-)

I have the AGV sport t-bag jacket.
