Did you overtake him in lane 2.5?

  3. No. I was filtering past a queue for a roundabout.
I think it was 1 lane, no central barrier, his lane
was stationary. Couldn't see the van until I was
past the caravan, but it was very bloo...

You might have done, but I wasn't towing a caravan.

Yes, my van is very bloo, but has no towbar.

  5. Fair enough.
    That's fairly conclusive...

Actually, I thought "I wasn't towing a caravan" was enough proof.

Doesn't prove anything without corroboration. It's a van - anyone could
have hooked a caravan to it and the driver would never notice until he
walked round the back to open the doors. It's not as if mirrors are a
big part of van drivers lives is it?

Certainly not mine. What's behind is past, look to the future.

Curiously enough, if you were a Gorilla you wouldn't say (well OK, sign)
    that.

Apparently psychologists have determined that Gorillas 'sign' the past as in
front of them and the future behind them.
This being the opposite of what Chimpanzees do which is akin to the Human
instinct to regard the future as in some sense 'in front of you'. That
initially caused the researchers to assume the Gorillas weren't quite as
bright. Then they explored it a bit more in depth and it emerged (so far as
they could get their heads round the Gorillas' mindset) the Gorillas were
trying to indicate they saw the past clearly, the future was more uncertain.

I don't know if they got them driving vans 'though.
