I bought an MCN today to ease the boredom.
There was an article that HJC have brought out a *legal* tinted visor for
    their lids, RRP around £25.00.
Are you likely to stock 'em, and if so, is there gonna be one for my AC-10?

    TIA

For what it's worth, I bought a 'legal' tinted visor for my Arai and IMHO
it's hardly worth it as the tint is so weak that I may as well not have
    bothered.

Angus Paxton was seen penning the following ode to ... whatever:
It's called a Schuberth Helmet. Both the S1 and the Concept (flip
front) do have an internal retractable sun visor.
    Too late by several years...

No, they're not. £5.00 for 3, reuseable. Put them in and in the summer
they don't need to come out. They take away a lot of glare. I think
I'm on my 4th insert this year, which is pretty cost effective IMHO
compared to a dark and illegal visor. You don't have to carry a clear
visor if you think you will be out after dark - you just take the insert
    out.

I'm sorry if it doesn't have the full pose factor of an iridium visor,
    but they are not shite.

Why not just have a black visor? Mine's been on since May, and I doubt
I'll need to change back to the clear one for at least another month.

I have tried them and IMHO they *are* shite., I have also tried the
Sunex strip and not too impressed with that either. A visor sticker
works better. I will stick with my dark visor, thank you.

What are the yellow high definition ones like (aside from looking v. gay) ?
I've got a set of eye protectors in that which certainly improve the view...
tempted to try one on the bike.

Why not just wear shades? With the added advantage of keeping shit &
insects out of your eyes when you ride with the visor up. I _always_
wear shades or normal glasses (very low prescription so I don't _need_
them to drive) anyway, and don't feel comfortable without that extra
    protection.

You are quite welcome to. I have nothing against dark visors. I was
merely offering as a suggestion something which works for me.

Personally, cost. I did think about it, but cannot justify the expense ATM.

Besides, I do use my bike as my main form of transport and do end up
having to take the inserts out occasionally, even in the summer.

Shades are a good alternative, but I wear glasses in any case. I don't
have prescription shades ATM. Last time I wore them riding, my clear
glasses managed to escape from my pocket to a life of coutryside
    freedom. An expensive happening.

To be honest, I'm quite happy with the one I've got in my AGV. It
took a few goes to get it in the right place, but it doesn't seem to
distort the view, cuts glare nicely and at £2.50 each I don't have a
problem with removing it and binning it at night, if necessary.

However, I can see that they wouldn't fit properly in a lot of visors,
and by the time you've got it in the right place (assuming you just
plough ahead and remove the sticky without testing it first) then it
    will no longer adhere.

    Maybe I'm easily pleased :)
