I have 3 exhaust pipes left over from when I had the RD250A. 2 are used
but sound, the 3rd is a NOS left hand (nearside) pipe. I was going to
post them up here FS and if no takers, stick them on ebay. What I wanted
to ask you was, given your intimate knowledge of all things RD, do you
know what other RDs they might be appropriate for?

The nearside pipes are stamped 1A0-14621 and the offside 1A0-14620.

    Pics here.

  3. My guess is as much as £200, but Lozzo will know for sure.

    Jeremy says...
They fit RD250C and D models as well. Tbh, 1A0 numbers weren't used on
the 250A and B model silencers, as far as I am aware.

You're about right. The new silencer would have been worth twice as much
had it been a right hand one.

I would, the 250 looks nice but could be nicer with very little money,
    the 400 is workable too.

It is actually - my mistake. Too quick to hit the "send" button.

    So it's a NOS right-hand silencer..

and a pair of used (and scuffed in places) silencers.

None of the above with baffles.

In that case the right hand one should make about 150 - 200 sheets.

    Now if it was a new RD400E/F r/h silencer, 2R9 14620, you'd be looking
at starting bidding at 500 notes.

So these are definitely appropriate for the C & D but NOT necessarily
    for the A & B?

The ebay item (220033467511) for the 250/400 C & D models listed the
    part number as 1A1-14710-00-00

Concerned about putting the stuff up on ebay without actually being
    *certain* what model(s) they'll fit.

    Jeremy says...
    Those aren't 250 exhausts, they're 400C/D only. The 250 had a screw
fitting at the downpipe end, the 400 is a push fit into a rubber joining
    piece.

You can tell the difference between D and E pipes at a glance by looking
at the hangers, the C/D model ones are welded on, the E/F are bolted to
the silencer. The E/F hangers don't line up on a C/D frame and the
rubber joining piece is bigger diameter on the E models.

    So are Jeremy's deffo 250 exhausts? I need a 400 C (ideally) to replace
the badly scuffed one on mine.
    **** I can't remember whether it's left or right.

Do you want me to e-mail you a couple of high-res pics of the NOS
offside exhaust anyway? It has a tag attached (handwritten by who knows
who) with RD 250/350 written on it. I never compared the silencer to
those fitted to the RD when I had it (the guy I bought from bundled in
assorted spares with the deal). It def has a welded on hanger.

  19. Using the patented Mavis Beacon "Hunt&Peck" Technique, Hog
It's the right hand one that's scuffed on yours.

Thanks. J took some pics of his silencers, they are threaded at the
downpipe end so off a 250.
