    a set of clocks in a new housing, minus speedo with the glass blacked
    out altogether. I think I'll be able to save about 15 kilos in weight by
    junking unneeded road gear, the headlight alone weighs about 3 kilos.
    Just got to make some rearsets now and a few little bits like clip-on
    brackets and an exhaust link pipe to take a Micron carbon end can I have
    spare. You'll find me in the workshop if you need me.

    BTW, check the Yamaha YZF '92 fairing, that could be my trackdays' fairing

    Notice that the Brazilian exahusts save themselves more than 3 kilos.

    Another way to save weight:

    - Start engine, but requires something to start the bike, a-la-motoGP. I'd
    keep it, when you get out of the track and the bike stops, it helps getting
    on the track again and not waiting for someone to pull you back to the pits.

    - Battery and "alternador" (English?) Use a mopped battery, much lighter.
    There are also "alternador"s for racebikes which produce strictly the
    current required by the engine (no lights, etc) and are lighter (in weight
    and
    brackets and an exhaust link pipe to take a Micron carbon end can I have
    spare. You'll find me in the workshop if you need me.

    Pictures and work reports will be welcome. My GPZ "B" now is just a frame
    with the engine... and feels like rather than using it for GPZ "A" spares
    I'll try to get it running. Nice to see the price of used bike parts in eBay
    and how they can fit in a "on-demand" 500 racebike (yes, a used CBR is
    cheaper and faster, but what the hell, not as much as funny :)

    That's a good tip that I may take advantage of.
    I know of Air-Tech from my days owning Yamaha RDs, they make some really
    nice bodywork for those. They are very expensive though, and shipping
    glass fibre fairings and panels to the UK might not be successful.
    Nice.
    I think using a 2-1 exhaust system will save me alot more than 3kg. My
    micron can weighs half that of a standard unit, and I'll only have one
    of them.
    I'd like to keep all the standard electrical ancilleries.
    I'll keep you updated with progress
