Paging London HGVers

  1. Right, I've got my D4 medical form and all associated paperwork to send
off to get C provisional entitlement on the ol' licence.

Imagine my horror when my doctor wanted 75 quid for a medical!

He admitted I could get it done for £25-£30 elsewhere but I never got
    the information I craved.

So, paging Gods of the road that you are, where TF can I get a
reasonably priced medical done in London or the surrounding area?

    Cheers, beers.

  3. Funnily enough, that was the name of one of the (three) doctors in a
list supplied by the trainers. I honestly thought there'd be someone
nearer but if I decide Mr. Sheil is the man I'll be over, and it won't
take the 4 hours by bike to get back that it did in the van!

You alright for a pint if I come over? You haven't met Ratty yet, have
    you?

    Takes apparently innocent sentence:

"You haven't met Ratty yet, have you?"

Runs it through patented ulterior motive detector. Translation is as
    follows:

"I bet you're a dab hand at fixing cam chains"

  6. Actually, the thought never occurred to me and anyway, Sutton's nearer
    than Tunbridge Wells ;)

A sensible move from WC imo. You've not seen a twitch until you have
brought a bottle of claret within sight of TOG.

Cheap by the CAA standards. My last PPL medical (2002) cost 250 quid!
I'll bet it'll be dearer this year though ;o(
