So, I find myself in Paris with the doris next weekend. We're staying
somewhere in the Quartier Latin, on Rue Monge (she tells me.)

    Any decent eateries?

We're doing the Louvre / Eiffel / Catacombes / Champs Elysée / Notre
Dame / Sainte Chapelle / Pompidou / d'Orsay schtick (insert yawns where
appropriate) but frankly I'm at a loss for decent bistro-esque munchies.

    Suggestions?

Incidentally, uknova download, if it's there, "The Last Aztec", trip
through an Aztec-tainted Mexico with DBC Pierre (of Vernon God Little
fame) - open bet for best bit of travelogue-come-histoire tv I've seen
    in donkeys ages.

    You could try here:

    http://www.eatinparis.com/EatinParis.woa/2/restaurant/en/detail_restaura
    nt?id=1104

La Fontaine de Mars. Near to the Eiffel Tower. About €100 for two. Food
from the SW of France. Very, very nice place. Very popular with
    Tourists.

    Or here:

    http://www.eatinparis.com/EatinParis.woa/restaurant/en/detail_restaurant
    ?id=220

Atelier Maître Albert. Traditional French cuisine. Very nice. Around
€100 for two. Not too far from Notre Dame on the S side of the river.

    Or here:

    http://www.eatinparis.com/EatinParis.woa/restaurant/en/detail_restaurant
    ?id=1613

Le Congres. Excellent seafood but pricy. About €100 for two. Near to
Porte Maillot and loads of bike shops on the avenue de la Grande Armée

Don't eat in the touristy area on the S side of the river opposite
Notre Dame. The places are really shite.

Oh, you can give me a look up if you want. Drop me an email.

We didn't. All the other food was lovely, though, as was the pastis
    artisanal.

Heh, I'd recommend it to people with Bulimia. This way they won't need
to stick their fingers down their throats.

Andouillettes are excellent. Do it. (Admittedly, I like spleen
    butties.)

The spleen butty is one of Palermo's finest delicacies. Try
it. Really. Can it be any worse than the muck passed off as food in
    most supermarkets?

Has anyone here actually tasted shit?
If not, how do we know that Andouillette tastes like it?
