I narrowly missed having a head on crash with someone today as the sun
reflected off my windscreen with the wash wipe going and everything went
totally white, then stayed like that.

I suppose I should actually wash the windows of my car once in a
    while...

funny - I never get any of this, despite clocking up loads of miles
    riding in London.

Maybe you've just got poor observations, and probably wouldn't notice if
you were, say, being followed by a police car.

Let's face it, it's almost unheard of for this type of road-rage to be
entirely one-sided. If you always drive in a kind and considerate
manner you're unlikely to find it.

So how you manage I've no idea.

heh - ask anyone who's actually been in a car with me what my
    driving's like.

I think I don't get it on the bike, because I go with the "what's
behind you doesn't matter" school of thought, and I like to also think
my /forward/ observation is pretty good.

  13. jolly good - even under extreme circumstances ;-)
well you bend the "what's behind" rule when you're waiting for slow
coaches to catch up on a ride out but otherwise that's a *ding* from the
    corfield jury.

Own up - who told him? I had a smug text message on my way to fetch it
and so far he is protecting whoever let it slip.

Can I just say " " again while I'm here.

    <random thoughts>

It's tiny and meaty all at once. I can get both feet flat comfortably,
I've adapted to the extra weight very quickly and the fact I don't
have to alternately threaten and cajole and jump up and down to get it
    started is a plus.

I wondered if the riding position would be uncomfortable on long runs,
but after the 100+ today (which for me is long - I usually do around
50 miles on a bimble) motorway, then round town with son pillion to
take him to the dentist (made good progress so nipped home, picked up
a helmet, picked him up from school, I have lots of brownie points)
    I'm not at all achy.

I'm looking forward to derestricting it, when it is prudent to do so -
which will be when the 2 years since my test is up of course.

Downpipes are going to have to be sourced before MOT in October. Chain
needs sorting soon. Bits and bobs on body work to make all shiny and
    gleaming.

I appear to have a race can that needs putting on, just so I can
    compare the sound you understand.

I really hope there weren't any camera vans/ video cars that I didn't
spot - it would be a sod to lose my licence this quickly.

  17. leccy starts. Once you try them, you never want to go back.
    Good stuff.
Of course. The thought occured to me that one could, entirely
theortically, remove permentant restriction by replacing that
bar with, say, a bolt. Then the bolt could be removed at will,
    and then replaced when/if required...
Have you tried looking through the race can?
    heh.

I'm *so* glad you didn't crash it on the way back...

like I said before, I don't do "road rage" just "road mild pique".
I had an errand to run in Ponder's End this morning on the way to
work, and so ended up going down Meridian Way and round Tottenham
Hale/up to Stamford Hill instead of my normal Green Lanes route - ****
me, but if anything the traffic has gotten worse around there - do you
still commute that way on the bike?
