OK so my Bandit 12 has, I think, a 9R-B(2?) front end. The USD fork
model. I need a front wheel, would it be specific for this model or is
it a wheel fitted to a wider range of Kawasaki models?

Next, does anyone have such a thing in their garage for sale or can
    recommend a breaker?

Riding around the Belfast link road on Saturday towards the Royal
hospital, fast but blind 90mph right hander. One passes a rather seedy
estate, stage left, known for riotous tendencies. Found the road
covered in brick rubble with nowhere to go. Thought I'd got round the
big stuff but (we think) the adjacent car flicked a half one our way
and it went under the front wheel. Hit it cranked over at 70ish with
my mate Irene on pillion and ***** BUGGER SHIT BOLLOCKS* it wasn't
easy to stay on or control the bike. Thank god Irene had a good grip
on my jacket at the time. This Bandit has incredibly stable steering,
it pulls Eeek mph with the handlebar mounted screen and not a
twitch....... just as well really, the tank slapper straightened out
    instantly.

Said brick distorted the right hand side of the front rim 10mm in
towards the centre and 15 mm out from the bead over 25mm of the rim.
By some small miracle the bead of the tyre, although exposed, held air
and the front did not deflate. I spent some time on it yesterday. Got
the rim good and warm and started alternating more heat and a rubber
hammer, then fine tuned it with a bigger hammer and steel drift. It's
back in surprisingly good form, passes the 3 yard test, but of course
it has to be replaced, I wouldn't even be happy with a pro. repair on
    this one.

Full marks to the lovely Irene. I had only just refitted the pillion
footrests on Friday, she is currently doing her CBT and was desperate
to ride pillion on the 12. She wasn't put off by the drama at all,
found it all quite exciting apparently. I should fucking coco baby.
The force is strong in this Blonde.

Well, some sample part numbers for the front wheel are:

    B4: 41073-1496
    C2: 41073-1625
    E2: 41073-1633

    So, that's a "maybe", I think.
I've got one, but I'm kind of using it.

Try a free online parts search, and let the breakers ring you:

Just bung him one of your dymags - you'll not be needing them any
    more, after all.

Are there any numbers cast into the wheel?

BTW Champ I shall be at Donnington. Staying at the BH Fri-Sat-Sun with
my mate Susie. Taking delivery of her son's MR2 G-Ltd jap import as a
SOTC to replace the 944. Just need to get the fucker back to Belfast
    without wrecking it \

I am going to enjoy the proper Sunday lunch from Mu at last. Anyone
    else interested in the sitting?

Are you going to get a taxi back on the Saturday night? Fancy splitting

Are you staying there too? I was going to commute in this MR2 and
stay off the drink, or possibly get Susie to remain sober!! but I'm
completely flexible. It's 21 miles so a private hire should be what
    £25ish.

I'm not booked in, but I really don't fancy camping. I'll give the BH a
    bell.

Very nice indeed. But you're shortselling yourself at that price. You
should hold out for £750, IMO.
