Whoever it might be - I lost track around the time when Mr Carmichael
    emigrated. I notice that
    http://www.wibbleypants.com/botafot/BOTAFOT.txt is reported as having
been last updated on 7th Oct - is there a newer list?

Cos wherever it is, it needs updating again after today's ride - and
thanks due to Oldbloke and Wizard for some good company.

    http://www.hemel.homeip.net/botafot/5bikes.jpg attests to the bikes
and the riders who did the prescribed route this very day - and yes,
you are not mistaken, that really *is* a Gilera DNA and a Suzuki TS50
in the group, which I believe makes them the first mopeds to complete
    the BOTAFOT.

Details of the new riders who, I believe, are now due numbers:
Dodo (formerly known as Badger Cub#1) - Gilera DNA
    Youngbloke - TS50

Incidentally, the England's Rose was far more welcoming today than I
remember it being last year, although the outbuilding that had been
themed as the "bikers bar" now seems to be a posh restaurant, so a
repeat visit to confirm the quality of bacon & egg sarnies is in
    order.

The varlet known as Badger did proclaim to all assembled:

Mmmm...cute! When you gonna fetch her to a UKRM fest?
Reminds me of Bez from the Happy Mondays.

Indeed it was good fun, and despite the maximum speed being attainable by
the TS50 being around 41mph, I still found myself at the back of the pack.
Still this did come in handy through the 2 police speed traps we
    encountered.
The TS was a cause for concern, as I had the engine in bits on Saturday, and
we did have to stop twice for running repairs on the way to the H & J.
However, a total of 80+ mles almost non stop and it didn't really miss a
beat. Perhaps I'll take it to North Africa.
    Different atmosphere I thought.
BTW, I forgot to pay for the coffees (I did text you as soon as I remembered
    that I had forgotten).

    A 50cc bike is a moped?

or do they have pedals somewhere?

If it can't manage more than 30mph, makes less than blah power, etc.
You appear to be stuck in the '70s.

All hail the new BOTAFOT KotL!

    <Puts arm around DNC's shoulders>

Now then has anybody mentioned the hassle? Sure, you can try to make a few
quid selling off "spare" 1 and 2 digit numbers, but it's mainly hassle.

Well, hassle and saying "hello" to newbies.

  11. Help yerself matey. It's a bit difficult doing a rideout from the H&J
when one lives in Andalucia. Having said that, I will be in Blighty in
July sometime (sin moto), so perhaps I'll pop along for a chat and a pint.

    **** me it's hot.
