Where pop charts are concerned, scatalogical jokes aside, it's a good rule of thumb to ignore the number 1s and focus on the number 2s. I'm sure it was ever thus, and it always will be. Though, having said that, I find it a little bizarre that the only place I ever saw Public Enemy live was the TOTP studio at TVC. That Lisa Snowdon's pelvis don't half stick out, you know. Same as now. There are a *lot* of great bands (prog, indie & rock) that never ever make it on TV because they don't fit the mass-audience demographic (and they don't sing love songs!). Hopefully direct release via the internet will help them succeed. Phil
