I still prefer that to the gigantic twin cans they've had to put on the
new gixxer to meet Euro III emissions. Neither are perfect though..
    fucking Europe.

Dunno. If they don't, they should do.

Yes. This year they only do it in all-black or black with a green
    tank and fairings.

Notice the general black theme though.

I noticed that following both Champ and Andy. It's quite disconcerting
thinking "hmm, they've just got round that corner without braking, I'm
sure I can too..." followed by having to grab a handful of front before
    tipping in.
I just thought they rarely used their brakes but ICBW.

My guess is that he just didn't brake much. In the right gear engine
braking is quite good on the 10r.

The way I was playing catch-up, the back end of the SV must have looked
    like mobile disco.

On Friday, from Calias to Dieppe it was definitely "not very often".

There were times when I had to brake quite hard[1] for bends where your
brake light hadn't come on at all. It could just be the slight
difference in our riding styles though )

[1] Well, I thought I had to, anyway.

Oh yes, it works, but seriously, and FWIW, I reckon frag's comment on
checking the adjustment as to how hard you brake before it comes on
might be worth 30 seconds of your time.
    Yes, that's it exactly!

<thinks> If the 'x'-pot piston, pads and discs have been improved (on
the 10R) so that they provide greater braking with the same hydraulic
pressure, then you'll get more braking effect for the same pressure the
switch needs to activate, so for "mild" braking the switch might
    activate less.

The switch doesn't normally operate on pressure, just distance moved. It's
either on or off, not "hard" or "soft".
