Paging JP - who was *that*?

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by The Older Gentleman, Jul 2, 2004.

  1. Haring up through SW London this morning, heading into town.

Two police cars with all blues & twos going in front, and another ditto
pair behind, and escorted in the middle, a dark green (not military) LWB
Land Rover also with blues (hidden behind the radiator grille) and two
bods in the front seats, dressed in what looked like beige overalls.

    Bomb Squad?

Apparently some bloke had applied for a really advanced motorcycle course.

Sounds very like it. They used to have signwriting [1] of some sort on
that sort of Landy. Maybe incognito?

[1] Sorry, sah, military insignia and formation name. And not JP, btw.

Ginsters Rapid Reaction Squad. John Prescott's diced carrot & potato
intake had dropped to a critical level (he's pieabetic).

No, Ironmonger man and his trusty sidekick George from Stores. Off to do
good and shine some light for a helpless soul with their fork handles.

It's not someone not very important not being escorted somewhere.

If you see what I mean.

You got any reasonable bikes for sale at the mo, sort of around the 2k mark,
sports/tourer types? The XJ is getting too unreliable.

  8. Well, if you took the Z200 and the Dax and the DT50MX.... you'd still
have more than 500 quid change. So no, sorry.
