Apart from that, it looks the part - they don't mention whether it has the
turbo lump or not, though.

And the brief experience I had in my mates 308 replica last year, made me
wonder if I really would go for something so rattly and squeaky.

 

I will have by the end of the week, two Montego TD estates - one which used
to be mine, (and which the new owner used to argue with a van fitted with
bull bars) and which I shall use for parts, and the other, a really clean
seven seater Countryman I shall be using for work.

Hardly the most up to date of vehicles, but show me another sub £500
special, which will carry *that* much gear reliably around, and still return
60mpg on a long steady run.

Saves me running my Golf TDI into the ground, anyway.
