  1. Any of you lot know where I can get IE3 or older?

I've googled for over an hour - I found a .jpg of IE version 1 but
that's as close as I've got.

I've also scoured Microsoft's site and I've even asked jeeves FFS!

    Narfin!

I'll have a look on my old Windows 3.1 floppies. There's also some old
PC games which might have old copies of Internet Explorer so I may be
    some time.
I'll email if I find anything. Don't wait up.

I think I have a copy of Office 95 lying around. It's probably on there.
Gimme a bit and I'll root it out.

Whilst you're at it, ignore my previous post. I won't bother digging out
    Office 95!

It's ok, I just wanted to do a bit of experimenting.

    I managed to get IE1.5 running on XP - v1 wouldn't even install ;-)

But it's amazing how far things have come in a few years. If I had
another partition to install it onto, I'd love to have a go at Windows
    3.1.

No big hacks or giant projects in the offing, just wanted it to satisfy
    my curiosity really.

    Thanks :)

You can have a copy of Xenix if you want to go further back.

    Yeah, go on then :)

TBH, I don't see myself using it any time soon, although I do like do
gash everything every six months or so, so next time I do a format I'll
    try it.

Is it emailable or is it a DCC job?

Nice thought, but I don't have the hardware.

It sounds like this Xenix may be too complicated anyway. I'm a point and
    click sort of person.
