Requirement for a Dell laptop, the ultraportable variety. The X1 type I
    expect or the D420??
I have a Vaio TX1 and the recipient wants something similar at a more
    pikey price.
    Anything available?

If you want to contact me direct the email addy is valid with the
    obvious mungs removed

I don't usually touch them but I'll do a bit of digging and see what's
    the going rate.

I just got myself an XPS M1210 for about £700, which is rather nice.

  4. If it's of any interest, my almost out of lease works lappie is a D400
and it's never missed a beat. Likewise the 410's that I see knocking
    about the office.

It's the only dell I've had that's dun what it should. Reckon I'll ask
for a D420 to replace it with.

Thanks. Something like that M1210 would do I guess. Basically it's
    something lightweight and ultraportable.
Built in DVD writer, bluetooth, wifi, decent quality screen etc.
Ultimate processor performance isn't a critical issue.
