Paging hi-fi bods - speaker cable

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by the man with no idea, Dec 19, 2010.

  1. We're getting re-wired in Jan and I'm planning to have some cabling
put in for the speakers - specifically right front as well as right
and left surround. I'll probably need about 50m total. We're not
talking audiophile here, just OK AV amp and surround speakers with
reasonable Tannoy speakers at the front.

So what would you reckon for cabling. Just some sort of multistrand
    like this:

    or something shielded like this:

    http://www.cableuniverse.co.uk/high-quality-audio-cable-100-metres.html?

Could anyone recommend a supplier for cables, binding post wallplates
    etc?

I've used them many times in the past, to good effect.
