Aside from the many many choices for the precise definition of "play."
You cannot possibly own a banjo and not get it out and have a plunk
every now and then. It's like having a dick and not wanking, it simply
    can't be done.

I'm pretty sure from my memories of her when a _lot_ younger that she
doesn't have a dick and anyway the wanking analogy would that come under the
heading of playing "with" it rather than "on" it.

Agreed. Having said that, there are cheap playable acoutics to be
found, but only to be bought by someone who knows what they're doing.
Mo - do you know a guitarist you can drag along?

You'll be lucky, she never does what I tell her, so I don't know why you
think she'll do what you tell her.

Can't say I do but there's a local shop where the staff seem knowledgeable
so I reckon that would be a good bet, however I didn't like the look of the
£1500 Stratocasters - that wasn't the price range I was thinking of.

is what Owen was plinking about on the last time you were down. Perfectly
nice entry-level guitar for IIRC a hundred of yer english.

Powertab is free, and rated by the keepers of the site.

I find it amazing how my ears think things were played, only to find out how
    they really were played.

Bear was seen penning the following ode to ... whatever:
Haven't seen many bargains around that area lately, TBH. Lots of
overpriced stuff and annoying shop "assistants"...

    I wouldn't necessarily expect bargains - I would expect a good range
of stuff and staff who knew what they were talking about, tho.

Dunno. Maybe my "feminine side" has come out to play.

Which might also explain the high heels and stockings I seem to have
    worn to work today...
Ah good. Nice to know some things can still be relied on.
