Paging Grimly, or anybody else who knows/cares (about cars)

  1. It was somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the
drugs began to take hold. I remember Champ <> saying
    something like:

The only term I can think of which was in occasional use during the
years when carbs were still standard but FI was coming in, would have
    "conventionally fuelled", or simply "carburetted".

It's no big deal anyway, and ged knows, I've uttered some wrong phrases
    too.

    Grimly Curmudgeon says...
I use the terms 'carbed' or 'injected', I know some mechanics who refer
to carbed engines as normally aspirated and it has been in common use
around the motor trade in my area, even though it is technically
    incorrect.
Haven't we all. I think it's good that we do, it gives the big boys
something to laugh at behind our backs, they need something to brighten
    their dull lives.
