Mate is riding/ferrying to Greece and eventually Istambul and can't manage
to find maps for his navsat, and would appreciate pointers.

BTW, his nick is "Despertaferro" (wake up, -sword- iron), which googles to
the war cry of the Grand Catalan company when they went on friendly holidays
to Greece/Turkey in the middle ages, but his plans are expected to be more
    relaxed (for the locals).

  2. Using the patented Mavis Beacon "Hunt&Peck" Technique, Domènec
    Won't work.

If you try to install Turkish GPS maps, they'll annexe the Greek map
directory, and then the two will refuse to talk to each other.

Not if you include the 'EurovisionSongContest=True' switch during
    installation.

I've heard of Blue Screens of Death if the FYROMacedonia map was previously
    installed.

    Smartasses... <VBG>

It's a known fact that products using the Balkan(TM) kernel are rather
twitchy and sometimes unstable due to both buggy code (remainders of the
early 20th century beta version they didn't comment out properly) and faulty
implementation (resource allocation conflicts, wrong/duplicate file names,
    bad requests etc.).
The plan to port the remaining apps to the EU architecture is delayed due to
varying degrees of interfacing and compatibility problems, as well as some
copyright infringement issues regarding <i>Mac</i>edonia with the bastards
    at Apple.

    To the real issue:
I actually have no sodding clue regarding navigators as they're things of
the devil, in other words I'm too pikey to own one or know anyone who does.
Not many chances to use one in Crete to be honest, s'not that large an isle
and I've not visited the mainland with a vehicle of my own yet.

    Is this any help?
