Google is not my friend on this one.

The only product I've found online thus far is Attack from Shor
International. Previously, many moons ago, I used a chemical from either
CPC or Farnell. I went to the CPC website, and they are now CPC-Farnell.
Asking them has not yielded a result.

I need to dissolve the potting compound used in an old ignitor. The ignitor
    is made from unobtanium.

So, FOAK, do you know of a product name and UK supplier of the nasty
chemical that breaks down epoxy compounds?

Methylene chloride is often used for this. Also Google for "de-potting
    compound".
Nitromors has worked for me in the past with certain potting compounds,
especially those used on Bosch modules. It is worth noting though that the
more aggressive compounds often remove either the component labelling or
often the whole component packaging, making identification of failed
    components impossible.

    "de-potting".....Kinda obvious when pointed out.
Nitromors is very good for dissolving urethane compounds. Brilliant for
stripping the finish from guitars. I hadn't thought of trying it. Thanks.

Been there, done that, uttered choice words.
