Where and when tomorrow? Washington Services 7:15 ish?
7:15?! That's about the time I was thinking of leaving my house. Mind, I haven't looked at the instructions to see what time we're meant to be there, yet - have you?
Yep. Signing on is 8:00 to 8:45, briefing at 9:00. I reckon 45 mins from Washington, plus a few minutes fuel stop in Darlington. 7:30 then?
An excellent track day. Discovered 020s may last for thousands of miles but they don't half cut up when abused. Didn't see a lot of Eddie as he kept buggering off into the distance. You could tell he was trying - when we topped up again on the way home he'd used UKP16 or so's worth of petrol to my UKP12 or so. So when are you and Jean going to come over and do one?
Bear says... The 9R is more of a clit bike now than it ever was, what with the amount of gurlies buying them. Clitty-chick-wheels?
nah. twas decreed at the Rock n Blues. 9Rs are officially girls bikes. I know more girlies with them than blokes. -- Adie (replace spam with nickname to reply) UKRM FAQ: http://www.ukrm.net/faq/ Triumph 955iSS / ZX9R / GSF1200 bandit (for sale) / CG125 MRO#11 BOTAFOF#7 BOTAFOT#130 DIAABTCOD#17 MIB#24 YTC#16 BOB#15 ex-UKRMMA#22 BOMB#11
Absolutely. Even the weather mostly behaved itself. "The bike made me do it." I did do 6 sessions, compared to your 5, though. It was 18.12 litres, and ~120 miles (including getting to and from the track): ~30mpg - not so bad, considering what I was doing with the throttle most of the time.
It's a very consistent bike. Although timing was not allowed I could tell on that last section that, without timing you over three laps, you were within a second of the same time each lap (1:53).
.... which almost sounds impressive, until you find out that the lap record is 1:21.245, which must be completely mental.
