The guy has just updated the details to say he'll take
a bike in part-ex as he's having no luck selling it.

Might be worth giving him a call...

Hmm, new ones at Daytona are £6999, 2004 models obviously. He's gonna have
to drop that by a grand to get any interest I'd imagine.

You're right - and pointing this out would be the best
bargaining tool and he should be able to get it down to
a silly price with any luck.

Indeed. Still, he'll never buy one anyway.

I certainly won't be buying Ant's mate's one, unless he still has it in
    a couple of month's time.

that's very cheap. I wonder how much their S2Rs are...

    I doubt he'd be interested in an un-MOTed '01 Fireblade though. I
/should/ have it sorted within the next 3-4 weeks, though - if he's
having difficulty selling it he might still have it then. Having said
that the pre-reg-but-new '04 models that Daytona have for 6995 look
very tempting. They have the 620 Dark Monsters for 3999 which is a nice
    price, but it's an "R" I'm interested in. Unfortunately, the S2R didn't
come out until this year, so they won't have any pre-reg ones. On the
other hand, the list price for S2Rs is also 6995, which would be tricky
to sell at that price if you can get a 4R for the same money.
can you send me the details again, just in case (I deleted the email by
    accident).
