I need a 67-77mm step up ring. I was about to get a Cokin one off Amazon,
when I noticed a review saying that it was plastic. Doesn't sound good to
me. Anyone got a plastic one? Are they strong enough?

Suprises me that a small bit of metal can cost so much. That and the
price of filters is a big downside of todays large front elements.

Oooo, back when I were a lad, it were 52mm 'cross the board. Stacks and
stacks of filters I had. An' I were a poor lowly student too.

I'll be bloody poor after just a couple of 77m buggers.

Remind me, filters, that's old-fashioned for photoshop isn't it?

  3. Not if it's a polarising filter.

Why do you need a step up ring? Is is a 67mm filter you're after?

Not forgetting how useful a neutral graduated filter can be.

Wear polarising glasses whilst using PS, problem solved.

I got the cheapest 52-58 off eBay and it's fine...

And metal, and about two quid.

Easier to fit a polarising filter than attempt to do it in PS.
Or hold the polarising glasses in front of the lens when you take the shot.

Can't you just hold PSP in front of the lens, while wearing the glasses?

Now you're just being silly, a PSP would block the shot.

Not if you want a shot of a PSP!

Because I have 2 lenses at 67mm and one at 77mm and I wanna use the

    Ah, slot in filters.

I've got a 67mm UV here needing a home if you want it.

BTW, are you anywhere new Newquay?

More a set of ND and a grad ND.
Is it any good? I gotta Tiffen as a deal with one lens, but I'm not
convinced it's that good. Need to do some test shots without the filter.
About 40 miles away. I'm often surfing in the area. Didn't we meet
near Bodmin a couple of years back?

I've never used it as it came with a pile of bits and I don't have any 67mm
threads. Jessops branded, clean and yours if you want it.
Ah, possibly a bit far to pick something up then.
    We did, briefly.
