Twas good. Shame about my hangover meaning I was riding like a
complete spaz though. Mind you, there's no way I'm keeping up with
Daz on a good day either.

Hah. I was in front of him the whole time[1]

[1] Ok, so he didn't know where to go, but.....

Nor did I for that last section, so that's my excuse sorted for why I
was behind you for that bit.

Thoroughly enjoyed that today so thanks in return. Seriously the best
    ride I've had all year!

Watching you get a foot out the seat then doing the same whilst we
overtook a line of cars at 120+ on that bumpy road was most amusing.
I couldn't concentrate as I was pissing myself so much )

I also had a cracking ride home up the A44 and A4300. Need to do it
again before the winter sets in.

Has to rate as one of my best ones in years. Doing the same roads with
Champ on his ZX-9R and me on the old 350LC rates alongside it.
That took me by surprise. I was landing from one leap only to be
catapulted out of the seat by the next. It's only due to the stirling
efforts of Mr Maxton's finest that I stayed on board.
Mine was pretty much back along half the roads we'd just ridden, so it
was pretty good too. We must do that again some time.

That was half the fun, not knowing where the **** we were going and
trying to read a totally unfamiliar road at silly speeds. Some of those
    twisty bits were downright evil.

I'm disappointed that you didn't take the Gixer for at least a little
spin when I went for a jimmy. Maybe next time.

Was good to see you again, and also to meet "The other Gary". You'll
have to come down and do another with us when you aren't as hungover. I
didn't notice you riding like a spaz tbh, I was too busy watching Daz
trying to beat the world wheelie record in my mirrors

    ^^^^^^

Methinks this might be the real reason.

I dread to think how quick you might be on something powerful like a
half decent sportsbike. That Dullville certainly isn't ploding along in
a commuter stylee when you climb aboard.

You sir, ride like an utter ****)

Seriously I was quite happy sitting behind you. Like I said a few
times today it's easier following and I wouldn't have wanted to go any
quicker than we did even if I did know the way.

    Is that good or bad?
I couldn't go any quicker, I'd reached my own personal limit. The bike
is capable of far more though.

    Hmmm, ya think?
So do I. Until I'm confident that my ability exceeds what this bike's
capable of, every time I get on it, I see no reason to start risking
life & limb on something that's going to be capable of getting me into
trouble quicker than I can get out of it.

Plus there are trackday options for "playing", as you told me
    yourself.

You two are a brace of menaces.

That last bit of overtaking on the bit between Chiselhampton and Dorchester
was truly above and beyond the call of riding like a ****.

Bloody good ride out, even if you did have to keep stopping for me to catch
    up.

BTW Daz, according to my list you don't have a number, or am I blind ****?

The ride home was topped off by a very surreal moment.
When I arrived home SWMBO announced that if James doesn't manage to sell the
    NSR, then she's having it.

Not 100% sure whether she was serious, which is jolly disconcerting.

Yeah. Now my memory of the route is refreshed I'd be riding quicker.
I hate riding fast on un-familiar roads.
Because you were out of sight the majority of the time.

If she's serious, it could mean she intends to let your younger one
get a moped in due course!

Well it's either that, or else she's heard what jolly nice people we
all are [1] and wants to meet us.

[1] Just let us know who started that vicious rumour and we'll get the
    fucker.

If we do it again and end up at Fox's [1] you'll have to come back the
way I did yesterday. Lovely roads through Woodstock and up towards
    Stratford.

[1] The sausage and egg sandwich was quite possibly the worst I've
ever had from a roadside cafe.

    Entirely his fault.
I have one lying around here somewhere.
