Paging Daz, Champ and co. Tyres

Right, having just changed the front tyre[1] and the rear is suddenly
looking, well, shagged; I need to look at a pair of tyres.

Something suitable for my kind of riding, needed.

Super Corsa appear to have 3 grades...which grade?
Diablo Corsa...what's that then?

You can get Supa Corsa for road as well as track IIRC. I've got Diablo
Corsa's on the ZX10 harder than the supa and with tread to the edge.
Diablo are the same again with deeper tread and longer life. Bro has
them on his Duke. I really like the Diablo Corsa. but don't have enough
talent to use them properly.

As i mentioned in a similar thread last week, but presumably you
didn't notice, my K3 is currently wearing the Diablo Corsas, and I'm
very happy with them so far, despite knowing nothing about what
they're intended for[1]. Nice progressive feel to them, and shedloads
of grip, AFAICT. Performed reasonably well inb the wet up at Sedan the
other week too.

Dunno how long they';re supposed to last, but they've now done about
1200km and are showing no noticeable signs of wear, either visually or
ride-wise, so are clearly not going to wear out in just a stupid
distance.


[1] They were[2] on offer at Eu220 the pair, and the guy in the shop
reckoned they were 'dead good, like'.
[2] Actually, if they still[3] are, I may go back and get another pair
for next time - at that price, it'd be rude not to.
[3] This was about three weeks ago, and the road next to the shop is
now closed for roadworks[4] so I'm not going past the shop every day
atm.

Don't ask me the derivation but it seems to get used to suggest
something is the canine's cojones .Or should that be ' testicules de
chien'?

What's the profile like on the front?

 

Checks down in garage...

Pretty much constant radius, i.e. round. Which squares [heh] with the
very progressive turn-in, which I like a lot. Still got a good
half-inch chicken strip on it, which is slightly more than the rear,
which probably also tells you something about the profile.

As an aside, they didn't let me down under some _heavy_ braking in
yesterday's torrential downpour, so wet performance continues to
inspire confidence. YMMV.
