'They all do that, Sir'. I recall they're from a known era of dodgy VAG coil packs. Most have been replaced under warranty, though.
No, it's a tdi. The coilpacks are a known issue as steveh has said. Most of the forums have tales of people having dodgy coil packs replaced by dealers.
Yeah, it seems that way. I've not had it diagnosed yet, but just as I was leaving for Hereford on Friday it started running rough, sounds like it's only firing on two or three. That'll be a call to the local audi specialists tomorrow morning. Worst of all I had to do a 300 mile round trip in a fucking Ka instead. Ugh!
