I'm confused now. Y'see, I always thought you were shorter than me,
but I have some memory of you standing next to me and actually being
taller. I even remember coming out with some witticism about you
"having the demeanour of a short man". Must have been someone else, I
    spose.

That's complete fucking bollocks chaps. BT had a rule, tight cunts an'
all, anything over 6 hours in Business. Considering the possible
discomfort, back pain etc. *potentially* involved I would suggest that a
company could be on very sticky ground doing otherwise. *Very* sticky,
particularly if they subsequently disadvantage you employment situation
if you decline to fly Cattle.

In 2001 BT did try it on with me, I was working between Seattle and
England, with an edict that only main board directors flew business on
any distance. It burned in flames!!

Worryingly, ISTR a similar incident. Maybe he was wearing platforms?

Next time I go to the U.S., I'm going to take Emirates through Dubai.
It's 14 hours direct to NY, and Emirates Business Class is
    pos-a-tronic.
Yeah, coming back BA from Denver through London I slept like a baby.
    Brilliant.

Andy Bonwick scribbled on the back of a napkin:
I'm with you on that but AFAIR my current employer would spring for
business class for long haul flights. The last one certainly did...

Pity that most of my long haul flights are paid for out of my own
pocket. That said, Virgin occasionally has decent prices for the
upgrade for the return leg if you book far enough in advance.

Not really. Ginge will never be 6', but you'll be 11st 7 when you've
    rotted for a few months.
