In order to fit a vent to the new screen on the Wing, I need to cut a hole in it (obviously). Any special precautions needed? Tape it up? Slow or fast drill speed? Dremel more suitable? IANAC, but I'd be tempted to use a very hot sharp pointy thing to melt a hole in it and avoid any chance of creating stress cracks, but yeah, Cane's yer maun.

I wasn't going to bother, but the vacuum created behind the screen gets quite irritating after a while. -- | ___ Salad Dodger |/ \ _/_____\_ GL1500SEV/CBR1100XXX/CBX1000Z |_\_____/_| ..79553../..21469.../..31308. "All Skidmarx screens are manufactured to the highest standards. We take flat sheets of acrylic, and using our blowing and forming techniques combined with our 25 years of experience, produce a range of over 2000 different models of road and race screens." So it looks like I'm okay, then. -- | ___ Salad Dodger |/ \ _/_____\_ GL1500SEV/CBR1100XXX/CBX1000Z |_\_____/_| ..79553../..21469.../..31308. Heh. It looks like different stuff to the OEM screen, with much sharper edges. Don't know how long it'll resist scratching, either. -- | ___ Salad Dodger |/ \ _/_____\_ GL1500SEV/CBR1100XXX/CBX1000Z |_\_____/_| ..79553../..21469.../..31308. Polycarbonate is usually used for protection because it's soft and 'gives' enough to survive an impact but ss a result it scratches easily. Acrylic is harder but therefore more brittle. Both are easily damaged by people cleaning them with chemicals. Dampcloth and a bit of elbow grease is best.

now you tell me. It is fairly obvious in retrospect, but spraying degreaser on a polycarbonate screen fucks it up, properly.
When are you going to start manufacturing these ? http://www.7volts.com/xoxide_1727_16788591.gif They're bloody expensive, i've just bought one to build in the spare time i'm about to have P.
